Job description

We're hiring a Health Director to ensure the health and safety of participants and staff at the Telluride Association Summer Seminar (TASS) in Ithaca, NY. This role involves managing medical logistics, coordinating with families, and providing on-site health services during the program. The Health Director ensures participant and staff well-being at the Cornell Branch of the Telluride Association in Ithaca, NY, during the summer program. This onsite role requires full-time commitment from June 15 to August 2, 2026, with additional hourly work before and after the program. Key Responsibilities: - Review and maintain confidential medical histories for 36 high school participants, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records for program preparation. - Serve as the primary contact for parents and guardians regarding emergent health issues, providing timely and clear communication during emergencies. - Manage daily health surveillance, initial health screenings, and medication administration for participants, ensuring compliance with safety protocols.

Job requirements

- Must possess valid New York State certification as a physician, nurse practitioner, physician assistant, registered nurse, licensed practical nurse, or EMT, ensuring compliance with state health regulations. - Requires valid first aid and CPR certifications (within one year), with annual recertification, to handle medical emergencies effectively. - Must have 2+ years of experience with children’s summer camps or educational environments, particularly serving high school students, to ensure program-specific expertise.
