About the author
Dr. Solomon G. Zori is a Senior Lecturer in Financial Reporting and Valuation at Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University. With a rich academic background and professional experience, Dr. Zori holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Cape Coast, Ghana, an MSc in Accounting & Control from the University of Amsterdam, and a PhD in Financial Accounting from the University of Cologne, Germany.
As a Chartered Certified Accountant and a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), Dr. Zori has been deeply involved in both academia and the corporate world. He has served as a visiting scholar at Paris Dauphine University and Sciences Po in Paris. His professional experience includes roles as a doctoral and post-doctoral research fellow at the Max Planck Institute for the Study of Societies in Germany, as well as positions in investment banking with Goldman Sachs in London and UBS in Amsterdam.
At RSM, Dr. Zori teaches courses in Business Analysis & Valuation and Financial Statement Analysis across various programs and supervises master's theses in financial reporting and valuation. His research interests include accounting standard setting, regulation, and the economic consequences of accounting reforms, with a special focus on developing countries.
