Job description

We're hiring a Special Education Teacher to develop individualized curricular plans and lead a team of staff members in supporting students with special needs. This role creates impact by ensuring each student receives tailored education and care in a year-round school setting at Lilac Learning Center in Washington, onsite full-time. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and manage individualized education programs (IEPs) for each student, ensuring alignment with their unique needs and goals. - Train and oversee staff on student-specific goal procedures, fostering a collaborative and supportive learning environment. - Assess student performance regularly and adapt teaching strategies to optimize learning outcomes and engagement.

Job requirements

- Master’s degree in Special Education or related field, with a Washington teaching certificate and Special Education endorsement. - Proficiency in developing IEPs, assessing student needs, and using educational tools like BCBA frameworks and QBS Safety Care de-escalation techniques. - Strong communication and organizational skills to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and maintain professional boundaries in a dynamic classroom environment.
