We're hiring a Senior Operations Research & Data Scientist to design, build, and deploy critical algorithms and models that power our extensive global delivery network. This role profoundly impacts our logistics by bridging optimization and data science, directly improving real-time courier dispatching in Berlin, working onsite. Key Responsibilities: - Formulate and expertly resolve complex combinatorial optimization problems, including MIP and VRP, to significantly enhance the efficiency of real-time courier dispatching. - Design and proficiently apply advanced metaheuristics like ALNS and Genetic Algorithms to find high-quality solutions, overcoming operational scaling and latency limits. - Develop and deploy production-grade models using Python, OR-Tools, Gurobi, and modern data science libraries to deliver scalable, reliable algorithmic solutions.
- 5+ years experience in deploying complex algorithms and models to live, high-throughput production environments, ideally within logistics or last-mile delivery. - Proficiency in Python, OR-Tools, Gurobi, SCIP, NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-learn, and SQL for robust model development and data extraction. - Demonstrated excellent communication skills to translate complex technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, fostering collaboration.
