We're hiring a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to join a cross-functional team, focusing on growing product algorithmic recommendations within Just Eat Takeaway.com and evolving ML/AI capabilities across the platform. This role offers the opportunity to lead and deliver cutting-edge ML systems that impact millions of customers daily, based in Bristol/London with a hybrid work arrangement. Key Responsibilities: - Collaborate extensively with Data Scientists, Product Managers, and Backend Engineers to bridge the gap between model development and robust production systems. - Lead the architectural design of end-to-end ML systems, from data ingestion and training pipelines to real-time inference and monitoring infrastructure. - Drive the adoption of MLOps best practices (CI/CD for ML, model versioning, feature stores) to accelerate the feedback loop for Data Scientists.
- Demonstrable experience designing and operating ML systems in production, including familiarity with serving patterns like REST APIs and batch inference. - Proficiency in Python, orchestration tools (Airflow, Dagster), cloud-native ML platforms (AWS SageMaker, GCP Vertex AI), and Terraform/Docker/Kubernetes. - Ability to influence decision-making regarding infrastructure and tooling, balancing 'build vs. buy' discussions to optimize system development.
