Job description

We're hiring a Security Officer to support the safety and security of our refinery facility through active monitoring, access control, surveillance systems, and incident response. This role maintains a secure environment through facility patrols, visitor management, and monitoring security systems while ensuring compliance with company security protocols and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities: - Monitor and operate facility security and surveillance systems to detect and deter unauthorized activities. - Conduct active patrols and building inspections to ensure all areas are secure and compliant with safety standards. - Maintain strict access control at facility entry points to prevent unauthorized access and ensure only authorized personnel enter. - Monitor video surveillance and recording systems to identify and respond to potential security threats in real-time. - Operate security equipment including metal detectors, handheld scanners, and X-ray machines to screen individuals and packages effectively.

Job requirements

- High School Diploma or GED required - Prior military or law enforcement experience preferred - Ability to stand or walk for extended periods during a shift and lift up to 50 lbs when required
