We're hiring an Operations Research/Data Scientist to build, maintain, and scale the algorithms/models that power our global delivery network across various teams. This role creates significant impact by optimizing our assignment engine, enhancing efficiency and reliability for customers and partners in Berlin, in an onsite work arrangement. Key Responsibilities: - Design and implement combinatorial optimization models using MIP, VRP, and heuristic methods to improve global delivery network efficiency. - Develop and apply statistical methods and machine learning algorithms to generate predictive inputs, refining operational parameters for dynamic systems. - Write production-ready Python services with OOP, type hinting, and testing, integrating optimization modeling libraries like Pyomo or OR-Tools.
- 0+ years experience in combinatorial optimization concepts and applying statistical methods or machine learning algorithms to real-world problems. - Proficient in Python (OOP, type hinting) with hands-on experience in Pyomo, PuLP, OR-Tools, Gurobi, or SCIP, plus SQL for data manipulation. - Collaborative communication style to explain model logic, edge cases, and trade-offs to engineers, data scientists, and product managers.
