Job description

We're hiring a Mechanic Supervisor to diagnose and perform preventative maintenance on gas and diesel vehicles and equipment while supervising the daily operations of the shop. This role combines hands-on mechanical work with leadership responsibilities, ensuring efficient shop operations, staff performance, and equipment reliability in Alabaster, AL, USA. Key Responsibilities: - Supervise, train, direct, and evaluate shop personnel to ensure high performance and adherence to safety protocols. - Plan, coordinate, and implement shop goals, workflows, and processes to optimize daily operations and workflow efficiency. - Perform preventive maintenance and corrective repairs on a wide range of gas and diesel vehicles and equipment, including cars, trucks, tractors, and heavy construction machinery. - Recommend and procure equipment, tools, and supplies, working with vendors to secure competitive pricing and maintain inventory. - Conduct inspections and enforce safety protocols to maintain a safe and organized work environment for all staff. - Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical systems, including engines, motors, generators, and related components, ensuring proper functionality. - Perform welding, fabrication, and metalwork tasks using tools like plasma cutters, torches, and grinders to meet operational needs.

Job requirements
