We're hiring a Fire Protection Designer to support the design, drafting, and development of water-based fire protection systems, including fire sprinkler and standpipe systems. This role involves preparing detailed drawings, performing hydraulic calculations, and coordinating designs with internal and external teams. This role creates impact in Springville or Depew at an onsite location, with full-time hours. Key Responsibilities: - Prepare detailed fire protection system layout drawings using AutoCAD or other drafting software, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project requirements. - Perform hydraulic calculations for water-based fire protection systems to ensure optimal performance and adherence to NFPA standards. - Develop system designs, including pipe sizing, routing, and component selection, while coordinating with engineers and project managers for seamless integration. - Review architectural, structural, and mechanical drawings to coordinate fire protection system layouts and ensure compliance with applicable codes. - Apply NFPA 13, NFPA 14, and NFPA 20 standards to all design work, ensuring projects meet regulatory and safety requirements. - Assist in preparing submittal packages, including drawings, calculations, and material data, for client and authority approval.
