Job description

We're hiring a Field Service Technician to oversee, install, and repair utility-scale battery energy storage and solar systems across North America. This role directly contributes to the growth of renewable energy infrastructure while ensuring optimal performance and minimal downtime. Key Responsibilities: - Travel to client sites to oversee, install, and/or repair utility-scale battery energy storage and solar systems, ensuring projects meet safety and performance standards. - Perform cold/hot commissioning, routine maintenance, and troubleshooting on BESS and solar equipment, including battery charge/discharge cycling, module swaps, firmware updates, and energization/de-energization, to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide technical support, document service activities, and train clients on proper equipment use, fostering customer satisfaction and operational excellence.

Job requirements

- 0+ years of experience in field service roles, with preference for direct experience in Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and solar energy systems. - Technical degree or equivalent field experience, complemented by strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and energy systems. - Valid driver's license and clean driving record, with the ability to travel extensively and work flexible hours, including weekends, to meet project demands.
