Job description

We're hiring an EMS Chief to serve as the chief executive officer of the Washington County Regional Ambulance Authority, leading all operational, administrative, clinical, and financial functions. This role ensures the delivery of high-quality emergency medical services in Washington County, hybrid work mode, with occasional onsite attendance at emergency scenes and public meetings. Key Responsibilities: - Establishes strategic goals and objectives for the agency, ensuring alignment with regulatory and community needs, and fostering a culture of professionalism and accountability. - Oversees day-to-day EMS operations, coordinates with hospitals, fire departments, and law enforcement, and ensures efficient resource allocation for rapid emergency response. - Develops and administers annual operating and capital budgets, ensuring fiscal stewardship, transparency, and compliance with procurement and cost-control measures.

Job requirements

- 10+ years of progressive EMS experience, including 5+ years in a senior leadership role, ensuring operational and strategic expertise. - Bachelor’s degree in EMS Administration, Healthcare, Public Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred) with strong knowledge of EMS operations and regulatory compliance. - Exceptional leadership, communication, and decision-making skills to represent the agency and drive organizational success.
