We're hiring a CNC Gear Grinder Machinist to operate and maintain CNC machinery for gear production. This role directly impacts our production efficiency and quality at our Dawsonville, GA facility with onsite work and a first-shift schedule from 7 AM to 3:45 PM, with overtime opportunities. Key Responsibilities: - Operate and program CNC Lathes, Mills, and gear grinders to produce precision gear components from mechanical drawings, ensuring tight tolerances. - Set up, program, and perform tool changes for CNC machines, including both machine-side programming and CAM software, while verifying setup accuracy. - Use high-precision measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, verniers) to inspect parts, record measurements, and ensure compliance with engineering specifications. - Machine parts manually when required, interpreting mechanical drawings and performing calculations to meet design requirements.

- 3+ years experience in gear grinding or hobbing, with proficiency in operating manual and CNC Lathes and Mills. - Experience with CNC programming (both machine-side and CAM) and tool setup for precision machining. - Ability to read mechanical drawings, use precision measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, verniers), and perform basic math calculations for machining tolerances.
