We're hiring an Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting for the Italian entity, ensuring financial accuracy and operational efficiency across various departments. This hands-on role significantly impacts financial reporting and compliance, contributing to robust financial health at Just Eat Takeaway.com in Italy, working onsite. Key Responsibilities: - Support period-end close processes by performing cut-off procedures, recording journal entries, and reconciling sub-ledger to general ledger accounts for accurate financial statements. - Manage reconciliation and closing of various accounts including accounts payable, receivable, inventory, and intercompany transactions, resolving discrepancies to maintain data integrity. - Perform IFRS 16 accounting, complete period data uploads from ERP to consolidation tools, and handle bank transaction processing and asset accounting for comprehensive financial oversight.
- 3+ years experience in accounting within a dynamic multinational environment, demonstrating expertise in financial record management and reporting. - Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Word, with strong data analytics skills, along with knowledge of GAAP and IFRS guidelines and relevant accounting systems. - Ability to identify, research, and resolve financial discrepancies, ensuring accuracy and integrity of financial data through meticulous attention to detail.
