We're hiring a Food Delivery Driver to independently deliver food and other items from local merchants to customers, serving as a crucial link in the on-demand delivery ecosystem. This role creates impact by ensuring timely and efficient deliveries, directly contributing to customer satisfaction and merchant success, typically working on-demand via the DoorDash app. Key Responsibilities: - Accept and complete delivery offers efficiently through the Dasher app, ensuring timely pickup from merchants and drop-off to customers to meet delivery targets. - Navigate safely and effectively using GPS and in-app tools, verifying order accuracy and communicating proactively with customers and support to resolve any issues. - Maintain high standards of professionalism and safe driving practices, upholding DoorDash's reputation while managing all aspects of the delivery process independently.
- Receive base pay for each delivery, plus additional earnings from 100% of customer tips and performance-based promotions, with fast payout options available. - Enjoy complete scheduling flexibility with no minimum or maximum hours, allowing drivers to start and stop delivering on-demand at any time.
- Be at least 18 years of age (19 in some states, 21 in California) with a valid driver's license or state ID and a Social Security Number for background checks. - Possess a reliable vehicle (car, scooter, or bicycle) for deliveries and a smartphone to operate the Dasher app for order management and navigation. - Demonstrate strong professionalism and communication skills when interacting with customers and support, ensuring safe driving practices and adherence to delivery guidelines.
