We're hiring a Food Delivery Driver to facilitate the efficient and timely delivery of food and goods, operating independently within local communities. This role directly impacts customer satisfaction and merchant success by ensuring prompt service, working onsite in various locations via the DoorDash app. Key Responsibilities: - Accept delivery orders through the Dasher app, ensuring timely pickup from merchants and accurate, secure transport to the customer's designated location. - Utilize GPS navigation effectively to plan optimal routes for deliveries, maintaining safe driving standards and adherence to all traffic laws during transit. - Communicate clearly and professionally with customers regarding order status or delays, and with support for any issues encountered during delivery fulfillment.
- Earn a competitive base pay per delivery, supplemented by promotional opportunities like Peak Pay and Challenges, and retain 100% of customer tips. - Enjoy complete schedule flexibility, with the ability to set your own working hours and choose when to start and stop delivering anytime.
- Be at least 18 years old (19 in some states, 21 in California) and possess a valid driver's license or state-issued ID for verification. - Utilize your reliable personal vehicle (car, scooter, or bicycle) and a compatible smartphone to effectively manage delivery assignments via the Dasher app. - Demonstrate consistent professionalism and adhere to safe driving practices while navigating routes and interacting with customers and support teams.
