We're hiring a Food Delivery Driver to efficiently transport goods from local businesses to customers, acting as a crucial link between merchants and the end consumer experience. This role significantly impacts customer satisfaction and local business growth by providing reliable, on-demand delivery services, operating in various urban and suburban locations remotely via a mobile application. Key Responsibilities: - Accept and complete delivery offers using the intuitive Dasher app, diligently managing incoming orders to ensure prompt and accurate fulfillment for customer satisfaction. - Navigate effectively using in-app GPS and external mapping tools, selecting optimal routes to minimize travel time and successfully reach both merchant and customer locations. - Communicate courteously with customers regarding order status or delays and liaise with support for issue resolution, upholding professionalism throughout the entire delivery process.
- Compensation includes a competitive base pay per delivery, supplemented by performance-based promotions like Peak Pay and Challenges, plus 100% of all customer tips. - Enjoy a fully flexible work schedule, allowing independent contractors to start and stop delivering at any time without minimum or maximum hour requirements.
- Must be 18 years or older (19 in some states, 21 in California) with a valid driver's license or ID, and provide a Social Security Number for a background check. - Possess a reliable vehicle (car, scooter, or bicycle) for transportation, along with a functional smartphone capable of running the essential DoorDash Dasher application. - Maintain a high degree of professionalism and commit to safe driving practices during all delivery operations, ensuring customer satisfaction and adherence to traffic laws.
