Job description

We're hiring a Farm Intern to support regenerative farming practices and livestock management on a 130-acre grass-fed beef and lamb farm. This role involves hands-on work in rotational grazing, soil improvement, and farm infrastructure maintenance. The position is located in Botetourt County, Virginia, and follows a hybrid work arrangement with onsite presence. Key Responsibilities: - Assist in daily livestock care, including feeding, health monitoring, and rotational grazing management to enhance land healing. - Participate in soil improvement projects and farm infrastructure maintenance to support regenerative agriculture goals. - Engage with team members, customers, and visitors professionally while contributing to a collaborative farm environment. - Operate and maintain ATVs, UTVs, and tractors to support farm operations and learn machinery skills. - Complete assigned tasks efficiently, maintaining focus and productivity without distractions. - Support weekend and holiday operations as needed, adapting to a flexible schedule in a farm setting.

Job benefits

Job requirements

- Must be a U.S. citizen, 18+ years old, and willing to commit to a 4-month internship with physical fitness for manual labor (e.g., lifting 50 lb feed sacks). - Ability to work collaboratively or independently, follow directions, and maintain focus without distractions (e.g., cell phone use). - Comfortable driving ATVs/UTVs (or learning to do so) and operating farm equipment, with a willingness to work flexible schedules including weekends and holidays.
